Buying Network Products Online!

My boss gave me a new task yesterday. He told me to buy some network products, such as servers and switches. In fact, this is not an diffiuclt job for me because I have done the work similar to it many times. But mostly, I bought them in a market near the company. There are many good products sold on it.So it is a good choice for me if I have a lot of time.Well, the reality is that I am very busy these days. And finishing the task will take me about 1 day.

In order to save the time,I decide to buy the products online. As this is the first time I buy these professional goods online,I should be more careful.First,I should collect several agents who provide the services. After that I have to compare them carefully because this is essential for me to get the best service with the money my boss gave me.

Finally,I make my decision to buy the products on infinit-tech.com.First,it provides new, pre-owned and refurbished servers from IBM, HP/Compaq and Dell. Of course, this is enough for me.Second, new and refurbished switches, routers and security products from Cisco (Authorized), Nortel, Juniper, Extreme, Foundry, 3COM, Enterasys, and HP are also sold on it.

So if you have the same problem, just have a try on it!

Connect A Wireless Router

How to Connect a Wireless Router to a Laptop?

Buy a wireless router according to your needs and one which fits your budget. Before you connect, check if your Internet access connection is working.

Set up the router and the Internet connections as per the instructions mentioned in the manual. This will be required to set up the connection of the wired client to the router.

After the wired router has been set up properly, you do not need this wired connection any more. However, for safety purpose, it is better to have the wired client connected so that, if anything goes wrong with the wireless connection or the laptop where you are going to set up the Wi-Fi, then you can access the admin interface through this wired connection.

For setting up the wireless client, you will need to assemble information from the Service Set Identifier (SSID), Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) key, the channel and the mode.

The next step consists of booting up the system and plugging in the Wi-Fi card. This step is applicable only if your laptop is not en-grafted with the Wi-Fi card.

After this, install the drivers required for the usage of the Wi-Fi card. Insert the disc which comes along with the Wi-Fi card and follow the pop up instructions appearing on the screen. Read the rest of this post »

USB Flash Drive Recovery

Many times your USB flash drive does not open when you click on the icon that appears in the windows browser after you connect the USB flash drive to the USB port of the CPU. This may happen if the USB drive is corrupted or if some computer virus has entered the drive. In such cases, the first thing to try is to right click and select Open/Explore.

If neither of the two options work, then try scanning the drive with an antivirus software. If the pen drive is not working due to virus, scanning the pen drive with an effective antivirus is a good option for USB flash drive recovery and can restore the USB.

If scanning also does not help, the only option left is to format the drive. Formatting will erase all the files from the drive, therefore, before formatting, create a backup of all your important files. To format the drive, right click on the drive icon, select format, select quick format option on the format window, follow the ‘prompt’ messages (something like a warning message saying that ‘if you format your drive, all the data stored in it will be lost’), select OK or Cancel (this will stop the format process). The quick format takes few minutes, depending on the size of the data to be erased. Once the formatting is done, your USB will become as good as new and you can use it as before. Make More Money Online With Your Own Products

So there are many people quietly making money online with their profitable internet businesses selling their own products whether digital or tangible goods. Digital products can come in the form of eBooks containing courses and tutorials about a particular subject or software which can ease your day-to-day work. These type of products can be easily downloaded after purchase. There is no need for shipping. The truth is information and software sell well. Remember people usually went online to look for information and if your products really meet their needs, they will be willing to pay for it. Tangible goods are just physical goods that need shipping and delivery. For instance if you are selling information and packaged it in a DVD, you will need to ship your customer that DVD. If you’re already selling your own products, did you know you can do some simple changes to your website and generate even more money online. This can dramatically boost your profits. Here are 3 profitable ways:

     (1) Upselling

Have you ever noticed when you order say a rounder or burger in fast food chains like KFC and McDonald’s and they will ask you something like “Would you like some fries and drink with your meal?”. This is called upselling. Since you’re already paying for your meal, most of the times, you wouldn’t mind to order a bit more. Upselling works and it can also be applied to online marketing. Here is how you can do it. When your visitor clicks on the order link, instead of directing them to the payment page, redirect them instead to a specific page which you would have created for the sake of upselling. Scratched DVD Repair

If your scratched DVD problem has you befuddled, the following remedies will help you figure out how to repair scratched DVD. These remedies for data recovery can be tried on a normal CD too. But before you go ahead and try these remedies, let me warn you, if your DVD is scratched real badly, no remedy might work.

Wiping the DVD: There are commercial wipes for DVDs available. Use them to wipe the DVD. Always, start from the center of the disc and wipe towards the outer edge of the disc.

Using Software: There are many data recovery softwares, available for your use. Almost all of the DVD burning softwares, also have the option of data recovery. Put the DVD in the player and click the option of data recovery on the software. For scratched DVD repair, this methods helps in most cases.

Using Toothpaste: This is a risky polishing method, as it might further harm your disc. So, use this method as the last alternative. The ingredients in toothpaste, help to remove the outer plastic coat on the discs. Apply a little amount of white normal toothpaste on a lint free cloth. Now hold the DVD under bright light and inspect the areas where it has been scratched. Rub the toothpaste on the scratched surface in a circular motion around 10 times. Repeat for all the scratches. Then wash the disc with warm water and let it dry. Try playing it. If it doesn’t play, try polishing it again for 10-12 minutes with the toothpaste and then try playing it. Happy Birthday, Internet!

‘LO’ - two mere alphabets that have gone down in history, as the first message to be sent, from a computer at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to a recipient computer at Stanford Research Institute, 314 miles away, thanks to the invention of what is better known today as the Internet. Of course the fact that, the original message was supposed to be log in and that the computer it was sent to crashed, milliseconds after receiving the first two alphabets, is but a minor detail.

Forty years ago, on October 29, 1969, Leonard Kleinrock and his team at the UCLA, created a network that would allow computers to speak to each other, and make them as easy to use as telephones. Facebook, Twitter and YouTube were then concepts that were straight out of a science fiction novel set at least a hundred years in the future. Kleinrock, now 75, claims to be constantly surprised by the applications that have come into being along the way. Read the rest of this post »

Computer Display Problems

The common computer display problems faced by users are blank screen, lines or patterns, blurred screen, stuck pixels, etc. Let us understand the different computer monitor problems in detail.

No Display: In case of no display or a blank screen, one should first check whether all the cords are connected to the ports and the power is turned on. If the green light is displayed, it indicates that the computer monitor is receiving power. One should thus check if there is any other problem.

Bizarre Lines/Patterns: Sometimes, the problem of bizarre patterns or lines can be sorted out just by jiggling the cord which connects the ports. If the above trick doesn’t work, check the cord connections. It might be necessary to change the cord if the picture doesn’t change. One should also try to adjust the menu options to sort out the above problem. In worst cases, there might be a possibility of the computer being broken down completely.

Blurry Display: There are many possible causes behind the blurry appearance of the screen. The first thing one should try on to solve this problem is the adjustment of hard settings. The next thing that could be tried is the re-seating of the cables or using new cables altogether to connect the CPU with the monitor. Adjustment of resolution or computer display size by using computer display settings is one of the options for sorting out the problem. In some cases, re-installing the monitors works and sorts out the problem of blurry display.
